SPEAKERS
Mary Alice Hayward was appointed Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Management on 5 January 2017.
From 2009 to 2016, Ms Hayward held the position of Vice President Strategy, Government Affairs and Advocacy for AREVA Inc., a subsidiary of AREVA SA, the world’s largest global nuclear energy company.
Prior to this, Ms Hayward served in the U.S. Government for over fifteen years in the areas of nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear energy. Ms Hayward served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Nonproliferation Policy and Negotiations at the U.S. Department of State, and on the National Security Council at the White House as Director for Counter Proliferation Strategy.
Robert Baker, Senior Partner & Global Client Director at Mercer is based in London and is responsible for Mercer’s relationships with a number of key global clients. He manages all aspects of the client relationship: ensuring Mercer understands the client’s business goals, structure and people issues and works with Mercer teams to develop solutions that meet the client’s needs. Robert has an active involvement in inclusion and, as well as his PWN Global Board role, participates on the steering committees for Mercer’s Women’s Networks. He is also a member of Mercer’s UK Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and contributes to blogs and social media sharing on gender balance.
Dr. Renée Gadsden (A.B. Hon., Brown University; M.F.A. and Ph.D., University of Applied Arts Vienna) is a curator, author and educator. She curated the current exhibition (May–June 2017) of the Künstlerhaus Klagenfurt, Carinthia, “AHEAD of the Game”. Dr. Gadsden, trained in art history, art, and cultural and intellectual history, is currently a lecturer on Gender Studies at the Department of Art Theory of the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
