PWN Vienna: General Meeting - Women in Science and Technology

Join us for a talk about women in science and technology together with a portrait of Austria’s most famous university of technology and how to proceed forward with women in science, scientific careers and engineering jobs. Still today, a career in Science or technology is not choosen by many girls and woman. This is an ideal evening to bring your daughters who are starting to plan their studies!

This evening will offer a personal view from O.Univ.Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Sabine Seidler, chancellor of the technical University Vienna.

Sabine Seidler is the first woman to be elected as chancellor of the Vienna University of Technology. She does not only oversee the fate of the largest technology university in Austria since 2011 but also heads the TU Austria an association of TU Wien, TU Graz and Montanuniversität Leoben since 2013. She is a material scientist, with a Phd in polymeric material technology at the University of Applied Sciences Merseburg, Germany. Since 1996 she lives in Austria, when she was appointed to a professorship at the faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Science of Management at the TU Wien.
She was appointed to several supervisory board positions and is guest editor of several international science magazines. She published numerous scientific publications including books and lectures.
