Sometimes it seems like a new female founded company launches every day, and with a current count of 9.4 million firms being owned by women, that's not too off base. However continuing to find funding for these companies is always a challenge. According to data from venture-capital tracker PitchBook Data Inc. female founded companies accounted for only 3% of the total dollars raised by startups in 2016.
