The current imbalance in numbers can not be overcome in a short period of time; it can only happen on a generational timeline. We can, however, contribute our time and money to programs today that actively engage women on subjects of technology at early ages such as Girls Who Code; and we can lobby our local elementary schools that they should all offer a robotics or programming club; and should shoot for 50/50% participation in boys and girls.
